ELMONT, NY (NEW 12 LONG ISLAND/CNN) - You could say Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna is at the top of her game, academically speaking.

The high school senior has a 101.6 grade point average, was an Intel Science finalist and has just learned that she has been accepted to all eight Ivy League schools.

“My family is so excited,” Augusta said. “Sometimes I feel like they get so much more excited than me. They literally scream. When I called my mom and told her, she was screaming on the phone.”

The valedictorian, 17, credits her success to her family as well as her teachers at Elmont High School.

She said instructors such as Michelle Flannory were always pushing her to think outside the box.

But Flannory said she has always seen something special in Augusta.

“I think Augusta has always had an eye for improvement and growing, so that has been critical to her success,” Flannory said.

Now, Augusta has a big decision to make by May 1.

The prestigious Ivy League eight are Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton and Yale.

But Augusta  has not only been accepted to those schools - she’s also been accepted to four others: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology  and Johns Hopkins.

“I’m still quite unsure what school I’m going to attend, but I know attending any of them will be such a great honor,” Augusta said. “But for now, it’s just so amazing. I really can’t believe it, still.”
